Along with being an honors student, comes the wonderful, yet extremely long and boring projects that our teachers assign to us.
The best part of being an honors English student, is of course, summer reading. Please sense the sarcasm..ha.ha.
This year, for junior honors English, I have to read this novel called "Ethan Frome" it already sounds boring, I know.
Along with having to read it, i also have to write two papers, 3 pages each, about this novel.
As probably most of the students taking the class, we have all yet to even read the novel..with of course, one month left of summer.
With this being said, what exactly is the point of summer reading? To get us in the mode for school, yes I understand, but why make us do all this writing and such? ITS SUMMER HERE PEOPLE. As honors student, we're already smart as it is with that subject, and the teachers make us do so much during the actual school year, can you give us a little break for awhile?!
And why is it that only honors students have to do all this summer crap? Why not the kids in regular classes? They're the ones that are considered "stupid" my goodness!
I hate summer reading, and school, and life. End of story.
Time to go watch The Secret Life, Huge and DEGRASSI <3 okkkk byeeee!
